London Black Taxis Tel: +44 (0)203 004 4953, (referred to as the Company) undertakes to hire a licensed London taxi to the Customer for the period of hire under the following terms and conditions:-

Customers may use this website to obtain an online estimate, a fixed price quotation, or to make a booking confirmation.

We will respond by email giving our best quote based on the information provided.

A. General Terms and Conditions

Listed below are our "General Terms and Conditions".
Additional "Terms and Conditions" may apply for specific services such as weddings, etc. See B. Additional Terms and Conditions.

1. A minimum fare of £30.00 is required on all journeys.

2. There is a £5.00 deposit to be paid on confirmation of the booking, using "Sage Pay's" 3D secure payment system.

Additional charges above the £5.00 deposit will be charged to the customer's Credit Card/Debit Card on completion of the journey.
We do not accept any other form of payment other than credit/debit cards.

3. There is an additional 10.00% administration fee on all bookings, except where otherwise specified under B. Additional Terms and Conditions.

4. All hirings are subject to a standard £2.00 booking fee, as clearly itemised on the taxi fare chart displayed inside the taxi, and will be charged by your driver as an extra. Your driver will be happy to provide a receipt if required.

5. Londonblacktaxis.net shall have no liability if the cost of a journey exceeds any taxi estimate given. Any taxi estimate given is supplied and accepted on the basis that it is an estimate only, net of any extras or handling fees and is based upon the traffic conditions and tariff in place at the booked time.

6. The charge on your credit card statement will be listed as

7. When a prospective customer wishes to proceed on the basis of an estimate received they will make their booking confirmation using our online booking form, by telephone, by text message, or by email.

8. Every effort will be made by the Company to ensure that the taxi will arrive on time and reach destinations on time. The Company shall not be held responsible or liable for any delays (and/or arising consequential losses) that occur beyond its control.

9. The driver will travel by the most appropriate route on the day, unless instructed otherwise by the customer.

10. Our taxis are fully insured for passenger and third party claims under British Law, customer's properties are carried entirely at their own risk and London Black Taxis shall not be held responsible/liable for any loss/damage to such property.

11. The Company and its drivers have the right to refuse to carry any passenger who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and whose behaviour poses a threat either to the driver, the vehicle or any other passengers.

12. Re “Fixed Price Quotations”. If the driver has to wait more than 15 minutes for the passenger to arrive after the confirmed arrival time, then the “Fixed Price Quotation” will revert back to the full meter fare.

Please note: In other rare and exceptional circumstances “Fixed Price Quotations” will revert back to the full meter fare.

Examples:-
Emergency Road closures, diversions causing unusually heavy traffic, and any other circumstances that are beyond the driver’s control and that result in a substantial addition to the expected journey time.

13. In line with TFL and other Licensed London Taxi circuits, our taxi drivers will be allocated the online booking 15 minutes before the confirmed arrival time.

Please Note at the confirmed arrival time there will be no more than
£ 4.20
(run-in charge) showing on the onboard taxi meter.
This policy is in line with all other Licensed London Taxi circuits and compensates the driver for the distance travelled to reach the pick-up address.

14. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions can affect the client's' statutory rights.

15. We now offer a "Suited and Booted" taxi driver service for a small extra charge of £20.00 per journey.

16. On certain rare occassions during our "Countryside Tours" a small fuel surcharge is chargeable where there is excessive mileage involved.

17. Proceeding with a booking (either online, by email, by text message, or by telephone) infers that the customer has read and agreed to these "Terms and Conditions".

18. Soiling - There will have to be an additional charge for soiling if it requires the taxi to be taken out of service for cleaning.This charge will be within the guidelines of the "Transport for London" directive on "Extra Charges".

19. Car Park Fees. When the booking requires the taxi to be parked in a Car Park (e.g. waiting for the customer at an airport), the customer will be charged the Car Park Fees in addition to the taxi fare.

20. For bookings made by telephone, the company requires the customer's credit/debit card details to secure the booking.
The company reserves the right to apply a deferred/sanction to the customer's credit/debit card for the full amount before the booked date.
This deferred/sanction is not a charge against the card but is a verification that the funds are available.

21. These Terms & Conditions are subject to change. Terms & Conditions in effect at the time of the booking will apply.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Listed below is our "General Cancellation and Refund Policy".

a. All Changes & cancellations must be made by telephone to our main office tel:+44 (0)2030044953 or by email to mike@londonblacktaxis.net.

b. In the event of a "No-show" by the customer, or if a confirmed booking is cancelled by the Customer within 2 hours of the start of the period of hire, all monies paid will be totally non-refundable.
In addition the full charge may be debited, especially where the journey pick up point is from an airport or seaport.
Our drivers are requested to wait at an airport till the flight details are removed from the airport's arrivals screen or until we receive additional information from the customer that the taxi is no longer required.
This applies also to domestic pickups as well.

c. On very rare occasions a minimum fare is charged even after a cancelled booking when there is a serious lack of communication from the customer thus causing an unnecessary avoidable delay and loss of earnings for our driver.

d. If a booking is cancelled by the customer prior to 2 hours of the start of the period of hire, payment will be subject to a 100% refund minus the deposit paid. (i.e. the deposit is not refundable) . Please note: different policies may apply for specific services such as weddings, etc.

e.   London Black Taxis reserve our right to refuse any changes to bookings where the pickup point is outside the metropolitan area.
If necessary and on certain rare occasions we will cancel the booking.

B. Additional Terms and Conditions.

Wedding Bookings

1. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify the correctness of the booked date, time, pick-up location, drop-off location, and type of wedding taxi required.

2. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been paid.

3. Deposits are non-refundable.

4. Our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, but if there should be a breakdown, an unavoidable traffic delay, or if the vehicle is involved in an accident, we reserve the right to send an alternative vehicle.
Every effort will be made to communicate with the customer. If the substituted vehicle is of lesser cost, the difference will be refunded to the customer. If the customer chooses not to accept the substituted vehicle, only the difference in cost is refundable to the customer.

5. The minimum hire period is between one to three hours, depending on the type of Wedding Taxi and the location of the booking. The minimum hire period will be agreed with the customer before the booking is confirmed.

6. For the White Fairway Wedding Taxi, any extra time will be billed by the half-hour. For all other Wedding Taxis, any extra time will be billed by the quarter-hour. The charges will be applied to the customer's credit/debit card after the wedding.

7. The balance due will be charged to the customer's credit/debit card 14 days before the wedding. No refunds are made after this time.

8. When a booking is confirmed less than 14 days before the wedding, the entire amount due will be charged to the customer's credit/debit card. No refunds are made after this time.

9. Changes and or cancellations must be made by email to either mike@londonweddingtaxis.net or mike@londonblacktaxis.net

10. Extra charges may apply for areas outside the M25. These charges will be quoted and agreed with the customer at the time of booking.

11. For bookings made by telephone, the company requires credit/debit card details to secure the booking.

This deferred payment is not a charge against the card but is a verification that the funds are available.

12. These Terms & Conditions are subject to change. Terms & Conditions in effect at the time of the booking will apply.

Tour Bookings

1. No administration fees, credit card fees, or taxes will be added to the Tour Price.

2. Pick-ups and drop-offs within Central London are included in the Tour Price.

3. Pick-ups and drop-offs outside of Central London will incur an additional meter fare over and above the tour price, which will be subject to our administration/booking fees as follows:

3a. There is a £30 minimum fare for pick-ups and drop-offs outside of Central London.

3b. The meter fare is based on the tariff in place at the booked time. Please click to view information on Taxi Tariffs.

3c. At the confirmed arrival time, there will be no more than £4.20 (run-in charge) showing on the onboard taxi meter for pickups outside of Central London.

3d. The Company will be happy to provide an estimated fare for a pick-up or drop-off outside of Central London. However, The Company shall have no liability if the actual fare exceeds any estimate given. Any estimate given is supplied and accepted on the basis that it is an estimate only, net of any extras or handling fees and is based on the tariff in place at the booked time. The Company is not responsible for journey delays due to unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic conditions or roadwork.

3e. There is an additional 12.50% administration fee on all fares for pick-ups and drop-offs outside of Central London.

3f. There is an additional £2.00 booking fee on all fares for pick-ups and drop-offs outside of Central London, as clearly itemised on the taxi fare chart displayed inside the taxi. This will be charged by your driver as an extra. Your driver will be happy to provide a receipt if required.

3g. These administration/booking fees are within the guidelines of the "Transport for London" directive on "Extra Charges."

4. If the driver has to wait more than 5 minutes after the confirmed pick-up time, that time will be deducted from the total tour time.

5. In the event of a "No-show” by the customer, or if a confirmed tour booking is cancelled by the customer within 72 hours of the start of the period of hire, all monies paid will be totally non-refundable.
In addition one hour's tour fee will be debited to the customer's nominated credit/debit card.

6. If a tour booking is cancelled by the customer prior to 72 hours of the start of the period of hire, payment will be subject to a 100% refund minus any deposit already paid.

Film Production Bookings

1. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify the correctness of the booked date, time, and location.

2. Bookings are not confirmed until we notify the customer by email or telephone.

3. Deposits are non-refundable.

4. Our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, but if there should be a breakdown, an unavoidable traffic delay, or if the vehicle is involved in an accident, we reserve the right to send an alternative vehicle, after consultation with the customer.

5. Additional time will be charged at the hourly rate in effect at the time of booking, in half-hour increments.

6. Any changes or cancellations by the customer must be made 24 hours prior to the booked time and date.  Changes or cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the booked time and date will result in a charge for the full amount of booked time.

7. Payment will be taken from the customer's nominated credit or debit card upon completion of the booking.

8. Extra charges may apply for areas outside the M25. These charges will be quoted and agreed with the customer beforehand.

Taxi Marshal Bookings

1. Minimum booking: 2 marshals, 2 hours per marshal (4 hours total).
2. Payment is by credit or debit card only. We do not take cash payments.
3. The balance due will be charged to the nominated credit/debit card 21 days before the booked date.
No Refunds
are made after this time.
4. Cancellations must be received 21 days before the booked date.
5. We will publicise your event to all of our drivers and to all other major London Black Taxi circuits plus the social media.
At least one Taxi Marshal will position himself on the nearest main road and flag down any passing taxis and direct them to your venue. However, despite our best efforts we cannot directly control or guarantee the number of taxis that will be available.
