Had to go into my garage today and have some minor adjustments carried out to my Fairway. I was told that Metrocab was building a new Petrol/Electric taxi to be unveiled later this year. The trade can only hope that this is new Metrocab Taxi venture is a success and will be able to give LTI a run for its money. Don’t hold your breath…remember Metrocab’s last 2-3 ventures. LTI have had a monopoly far too long! It never fails to amaze me why Mercedes or VW or the like haven’t ever ventured into this market? £37k for a TX4…we must be mad to accept this price tag. It’s at least £10k over priced.
Back to basics……Shift was uneventful.
Most memorable moment was when I entered the shelter in Thurloe Place where I regularly eat.
Not sure why but I received loud applause when I opened the door. I looked behind me to see if a celebrity was standing there. For a moment I thought I must be important. I’ll expect the same every time I eat there.

Later on I managed to trap a job to Streatham and then made my way home
