Didn’t feel like working today but decided in the end to make the effort and go into to the big city and work. The main event of the shift was to pick up two Swedish sisters who went from “The Strand to Regent Street”. It was a short journey but nevertheless we were still able to strike up a conversation. Their most striking feature was their perfect English accents. In fact one of the sisters had developed an Essex accent which was hilarious, and she was fed up being labelled an “Essex Girl”. She told me that Immigration Control regularly demands to see her passport on returning home to Sweden to prove that she is indeed Swedish. Even they didn’t believe her! And yes, I received a big tip from a couple of Australians.
