The Shard is now the tallest building in Western Europe. Its crystalline façade transforms the London skyline with a multi-use vertical city of high-quality offices, world-renowned restaurants, a 5-star hotel, exclusive residential apartments, and the capital’s highest viewing gallery. The view from the Shard opens to the public in February 2013.
23 March – 28 July 2013. The V&A has been given unprecedented access to the David Bowie Archive to curate the first international retrospective of the extraordinary career of David Bowie. David Bowie is will feature more than 300 objects that include handwritten lyrics, original costumes, fashion, photography, film, music videos, set designs and Bowie’s own instruments.

In spring 2013, these two cities and their unique story will be explored in a major exhibition at the British Museum, that will – in the words of Museum Director, Neil MacGregor – be a chance ‘to visit the cities and to visit the houses in the cities; to be inside a Roman household, inside a Roman street; to know what it felt like, to know what was going on.’
London Dungeon’s Tooley Street location is closing from the 1st of February. The new London Dungeon, near the London Eye, opens March 2013. You have to wonder, “How scary can a new dungeon be”?
