You might think that winter isn’t a good time to explore London.  Although winter can sometimes be cold and gloomy, there are always things to do in the capital city, especially since all sorts of transport are available.

There are many ways that you can chase away the winter blues without spending a lot of money. One way to save is to look for as many voucher codes as possible, especially if shopping is your preferred way to chase away the blues.

How about spending a winter’s day catching a film premiere? You may be lucky enough to see some celebs in attendance!  Having a voucher code comes in handy because you may be able to buy your cinema tickets at a discounted rate.

Despite the dark days, outdoor ice skating is available at many London venues such as Somerset House, Tower of London, and Broadgate Ice Rink.

A cosy, historic pub is an option when it’s too cold for ice skating.  A voucher code will come in handy when ordering your drinks.

Don’t forget London’s many prestigious theatres.  Besides the classics like Mamma Mia and Phantom of the Opera, new shows like Matilda and The Audience are wowing the crowds in the West End right now. Winter is a good time to get discounted rates on live theatre.

The Winter Sales are on in January and February at most London department stores, such as Liberty’s and Selfridges. A little retail therapy may be just what you need to chase away those London Winter Blues.
