One of our senior licensed London taxi drivers Paul (Lucky) Crew picked up Carlo Ancelotti – the Chelsea manager early this morning and took him to Gatwick Airport.
London Black Taxis prides itself on being unbiased and pragmatic (we support Tottenham Hotspurs). We were delighted to take Mr Ancelotti to his destination. He is definitely a brilliant manager winning the double for Chelsea despite the odds (Harry Redknapp). Once again Paul “Lucky” Crew proved his worth giving in depth tactical (taxical) advice to Mr Ancelotti and being Paul talked so much Mr Ancelotti didnt even notice his jounrney.

Peter Jones’s Annual Cancer Charity Taxi Relay to John Lewis at Bluewater

London Black Taxis was proud to be invited to be invloved in Peter Jones’s annual charity event.
This year it was in favour of Colon Cancer Charity.
We were asked to take three lovely ladies from their department store in Sloane Square SW1 to the John Lewis Department store at Bluewater carrying an iconic baton which will be passed onto every John Lewis Partnership store in the country and eventually it will end up in Edinburgh.
It was indeed a pleasure and a privilage to be involved and hope that a considerable amount of money will be raised for the charity.
Naturally, London Black Taxis will be making it’s own donation to the charity.

We were telephoned yesterday by Sarah Orchard, a producer at the BBC requesting using one of our licensed London taxi drivers for an interview for the BBC 6.30pm television news.
Special requirements were a talkative, knowledgeable and outgoing personality.
It took me exactly 3 nano seconds to choose Paul Crew.
Paul is the sort of person who has valid opinions about everything from raising a baby Rotweiller, pruning wisteria and who should be England football captain.
Indeed, it was his views on John Terry and Wayne Bridges that were so badly needed to inform and entertain his, err…I mean the general public.
Feedback from Sarah Orchard proved emphatically that Paul was the right man for the job….in fact she asked me if I could stop him talking”
Naturally, I oblidged and Paul is now top of the list for any interviews or panel shows whenever required.
By the way I am now his agent.
